Skincare Pioneers Since 1998

Founded by celebrity facialist Tracie Martyn and holistic nutritionist Marius Morariu, Tracie Martyn has been leading the clean beauty revolution with the dream of effecting positive change for your skin, health, and the earth we live in. Our advanced facials and clean skincare have been rejuvenating the world’s most recognizable faces for over two decades.

The Tracie Martyn brand is beauty meets wellness, ancient healing meets modern science.

Magical Currents

Originally from the UK, Tracie was working in New York as a makeup artist with legendary photographers like Mario Testino and Annie Leibovitz when she met Marius, who was studying nutrition and Eastern medicine. They bonded over an interest in holistic wellness.

After discovering microcurrent facials in Europe, Tracie and Marius collaborated to create the Resculptor, a unique microcurrent machine that offers instantly visible, longer-lasting lifting and firming. Tracie started using the machine on models and word of the magical currents quickly spread through the fashion industry.

A Secret Sanctuary

A Secret Sanctuary

In 2000, a feature in Vogue resulted in over 500 new clients and a waiting list, and it was clear that it was time to open a spa. Tracie and Marius opened their first spa on Fifth Avenue, a townhouse sanctuary visited by clients like Uma Thurman, Cyndi Lauper, and Donna Karan.

"Susan Sarandon and Brad Pitt would agree: the best place to hibernate the day before a big event is the Tracie Martyn Salon... the Resculpting Facial has become a favorite among the Hollywood crowd who claim to feel as if they've shed five years from their faces." — Forbes

Skincare From a Nutritionist

As a nutritionist, Marius felt strongly about using only non-toxic, clean skincare, but at the time, clean skincare existed mostly in health food stores and didn’t offer the visible results their high-profile clients needed. Marius turned to his science background to start formulating his own products with the mission of offering high-performance and efficacy without compromising purity or safety.

After three years of research and development, they had the first-ever Tracie Martyn product: the Firming Serum. They started using the purple serum in their facials, and soon enough, clients like Liv Tyler came with baby jars asking for serum to take home.

Red Carpet to Oprah

The second Tracie Martyn product, the Enzyme Exfoliant mask was launched and instantly became a favorite of Hollywood stars before red carpet events.

In 2004, the one-and-only Oprah Winfrey invited Tracie and Marius to come on her show to talk about the facials and skincare. Oprah also surprised her studio guests with the Purple Beauty Bag™, a set of Tracie Martyn products.

The Legacy Continues

In 2010, Tracie and Marius moved the spa to its current location—a sprawling penthouse in Flatiron that Julia Roberts has called, “Heaven on earth.”

The Tracie Martyn signature facials and skincare continue to be a favorite of a new generation of influencers, from Rihanna to Elsa Hosk. Many of our earliest clients continue to be our biggest supporters and haven't missed their weekly appointments in almost two decades.

Today, the company is led by co-founder and CEO Marius Morariu who continues to push forward a vision for beauty without compromise.
